Singaporean-Malaysian Food


Get ready for the countdown to becoming an AEC country in 2015. The Asean community consists of 10 countries; Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Burma and Cambodia. These countries have decided to join AEC within the year 2015.

Once the Asean Economic Community has been established, the total population of this community would become 560 million people and it would be worth 1.4 million US dollars.

THE V SCHOOL sees the importance in the preparation of the Free Trade economy and the service sector between people of the Asean. Since the people need to travel to other countries to trade , one of the most important product to trade is food. The more we know about other countries’ food and the taste of the target market, the higher the tendency in improvements of the products. (in this case, food)

THE V SCHOOL has therefore dedicated a course for Singaporean and Malaysian food. Due to the similarity in their cooking techniques, Chef Walter Lee, an expert in Malaysian food has put them in the same category. Our Chef Walter Lee was born in Malaysia so the food will have the taste of the authentic Singaporean/Malaysian food.


Singaporean/Malaysian Course consists of 10 dishes, all from the list of the top 40 most popular Singaporean food. ( (40 Singapore foods we can’t live without) CNN has also reported that these really are the top 40 Singaporean food which one should not miss.
